Free counseling, homeless support, and crisis services for Arizona women. Real stories of transformation from Hope Women’s Center’s record-breaking year.

In 2025, over 2,500 Arizona women found a lifeline when they had nowhere else to turn.
One Woman’s Journey From Homelessness to Hope
What happens when a woman is trying to care for her child without stable housing, consistent meals, or a place that feels safe? For women and teen girls across Arizona facing these difficult challenges, Hope Women’s Center provided support during their darkest moments. Maggie’s story shows what that support can look like in the middle of a crisis.
“I Feel Like I Am Alive. This Place Changed My Life.”
“When I came to Hope, I was experiencing homelessness and was completely overwhelmed. I didn’t know how to care for my young daughter on my own. More than anything, I longed for a safe place to call home, a place where I could breathe, rest, and start over. I had no family nearby, and the weight of providing for myself and my daughter felt impossible to carry alone.
Through a referral, I found Hope. I reached out and met with a case manager and began weekly counseling sessions through their Hope Heals program. I began to process my trauma and learn coping tools. I rediscovered my strength.
Week by week, I began to change. I can say now confidently that I feel like I am finally living. I’ve found a supportive community and courage to share my story. My time at Hope gave me a renewed sense of purpose, and I am building a better life.”
2025: A Record-Breaking Year for Women’s Crisis Support in Arizona
Last year, we served over 2,500 women across Arizona, many facing homelessness, trauma, financial instability, or family challenges. Here’s how we helped:
Free Counseling & Mental Health Support: Through programs like Hope Heals, 184 women received free counseling sessions, giving them a safe place to heal and develop coping skills for their future.
Community Programs & Support Services: Women found practical support through mentoring, parenting classes, job training, and community connections that helped them rebuild their lives.
Hope on the Road: Mobile Support Across Arizona: Hope’s reach also expanded beyond its physical centers and communities statewide. Through more than 55 Hope on the Road mobile sites, nearly 6,000 women were welcomed in communities where access to support might not otherwise exist. These connections often come at a critical time, when a woman is deciding whether to face a crisis alone or ask for help.
